Who you are contracting with
Plan Alerts is operated by Platinum Capital Holdings Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17082620, registered office 128 Innovation House, City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
What the service is
We collect planning applications from published council planning registers, sort them by area and by the trades a job is likely to need, and email them to you. Depending on your plan you may also get decision alerts, area reports, and printable letters you can send to a homeowner yourself.
The data, honestly
- Everything comes from councils' own published records. If a council publishes late, incompletely or incorrectly, our copy carries that error. Every application links back to the council listing so you can check it.
- Coverage is wide but not perfect, and it changes as councils change their systems. Our coverage page shows where we do and do not have recent records.
- Summaries and trade matches are produced automatically. They are a guide to help you decide what to look at, not professional advice, and not a promise about the job.
- We do not guarantee you will win work, and we cannot promise a given number of leads in your area.
How you may use it
Use the alerts for your own business, including contacting the owner or agent about the work. Do not resell, republish or bulk-copy our data, scrape the site, or use it for anything unlawful or for harassment. Keep to the UK rules on marketing when you contact people. When we provide a letter, you print and post it — we never post it for you, and you are responsible for what you send.
Payment, cancellation and refunds
- Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period shown at checkout.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next payment; your alerts run to the end of the period you have paid for.
- One-off purchases, such as a letter pack or an area report, are delivered to your account immediately and are not refundable once used.
- If something we sold you did not work, email hello@planalerts.co.uk and we will put it right or refund it.
- First month promise: if we send you no matching applications in your chosen area during your first paid month, tell us within 14 days of that month ending and we will move you to a different area, or refund that month if you would rather. One per customer, first paid month only.
- Prices may change; we will tell you before a change affects your renewal.
Accounts
One account per business, and keep your sign-in details to yourself. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will explain why.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care, but we do not accept liability for lost profits, lost work, or decisions you take based on a council record. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Where liability is limited, it is capped at what you have paid us in the previous twelve months.
Changes
If we change these terms we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Carrying on using the service after that means you accept the new terms.
