Plan Alerts tells UK tradespeople about building work before it starts. When somebody applies to their council for permission to extend, convert, re-roof or rebuild, that application is published on the council's planning register. We read those registers every day, work out what trades the job is likely to need, and email the people watching that area.
It is the same information anyone could look up themselves, one council at a time, reading hundreds of listings a week. We do the reading, keep only what is recent, and put it in front of the trades it matters to.
Every application we hold comes from a council's own published planning register, or from public open data built on those registers. We link back to the council listing for each application, and the documents stay on the council's website — we do not republish plans or drawings. If a council publishes something incorrectly, our copy will be wrong too, which is why every alert carries a link to the original.

We are honest about the gaps: the coverage page names every council we cannot see yet, rather than quietly leaving them out.
We do not sell homeowner lists, we do not contact homeowners on your behalf, and we do not post letters for you. Where we help with approaching a homeowner, we prepare a letter you print and post yourself.
