Lands to rear of 1,5,10,11&15 McKeens Avenue, Carrickfergus
Official description
Due to the discovery of unforeseen shallow underground services beneath the existing pavement, it is no longer feasible to implement the previously approved tree-lined access route to the site. The affected trees will instead be relocated to alternative identified planting locations elsewhere within the site. It is proposed that the existing paved area be retained to avoid potential damage to the underground services arising from future root growth. In addition, we propose to replace the previously approved low boundary wall with fencing above with estate rail fencing, maintaining the same overall height and alignment as the approved boundary treatment.
