Official description
There are three mature hazel bushes (Nos 1, 2,3,) and a young oak tree (No 4) planted in about 2003 which require a modest crown reduction to avoid them interfering with, or damaging, overhead power cables. The proposed work will involve reducing the height of the crown by about one metre on each tree. There is also a pussy willow (No 5) which risks damaging an overhead telecommunications cable as well as an overhead power line. The proposed work involves pollarding the crown to reduce the height to the level when it was last pruned.
