Official description
Lime tree - Re-pollard to its established previous pollard points, removing the regrowth that has developed since the last pollarding in 2012. The work is intended to reinstate the trees former pollarded form following approximately 14 years without this maintenance. An application was submitted in autumn 2025 for a reduction of approximately 2 metres. However, following further consultation with several arborists during 2026, the recommendation has been to re-pollard the lime tree to its established previous pollard points. The proposed works have therefore been revised in light of this professional advice, with the intention of reinstating the trees previous management regime following the last pollarding in 2012.
